EDUCATION

our services extend beyond traditional classroom learning. We incorporate practical, real-world exercises in our Communication Building Activities (CBA), which are designed to enhance everyday communication skills in an English-speaking environment. The Children’s Drop-in Center is another critical aspect of our services, offering a safe and engaging space for children while their parents attend classes, thereby removing childcare as a barrier to learning.

EDUCATION PROGRAM

Our mission is to equip low-income immigrant women with the educational tools necessary to thrive in an English-speaking setting. To achieve this, we provide a range of programs:

YOUTH EMPOWERMENT SERVICES

The Youth Program at AmeriHelps presents a diverse range of academic, social, and educational activities, encompassing two main components and engaging over 100 active young participants.
AmeriHelps has established a nurturing and secure environment where young individuals can thrive. The focus of the Youth Program extends beyond academic support to include developing leadership skills, fostering team-building abilities, and introducing career exploration. Additionally, the program celebrates cultural diversity through various cultural events and organizes field trips that broaden the horizons of the participants.
Moreover, the program emphasizes the importance of community involvement, offering opportunities for the youth to engage in community affairs actively. This not only helps in building a sense of responsibility and civic duty but also allows them to apply their learning in real-world contexts. In doing so, AmeriHelps Youth Program aims to equip these young individuals with the skills and confidence they need to navigate their educational journey and future careers successfully, while also nurturing their personal growth and cultural understanding.
